FINANCE COMMITTEE

Purpose
The Church Finance Committee is to assume responsibility in conjunction with the
Administrative Committee the finances of the congregation. They keep up with the church
purpose, objective and vision.

Their hearts were soft and tender, easily touched and giving. There was no selfishness or
withholding on their part. Where there was a need, they gave. ACTS 2:44-45

CHRISTIAN EDUCATIONAL MINISTRY

Purpose
The purpose of the Christian Educational Ministry is to develop a closer and an uninhabited
walk with our Lord and Savior by the education of our members in scripture.

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Proverbs – 22:6 “Without a vision, the people will perish.” – Proverbs 29

YOUTH MINISTRY

Purpose
Youth who are striving to walk in the path of the righteous. Youth who love God and are not
afraid to let the world know who they are. They are encouraged to let their faith come alive.

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are
the sons of God.” Romans – 8:14.

THE EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS

Purpose
They make all arrangements for the observance of the Lord’s Supper. They prepare the
sanctuary for all worship services.

“And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him. he said unto
them, “With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer: I say unto you,
I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” Luke 22:14-20

MINISTER’S OF HOSPITALITY

Purpose
Encourage a warm, welcoming environment within The Church of St Martin de Porres. Making the congregation and guest feel at home and assisting them with any needs they may have.

“If any of the saints are in need you must share with them. and make hospitality your special
care. Romans 12:13

“Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift. minister to
one another. as a good steward of/he manifold grace of GOD. I Peter 4:9-10.

MUSIC MINISTRY

Purpose
The Music Ministry uses music to serve God, encouraging believers through Praise and
Worship.

“…singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things
unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:19-20.

THE LECTORS

Purpose
They read and proclaim the Word of God and other inspirational reading in the church.

“The Spirit of the LORD is upon me. He has sent me to bring the GOOD News to the poor and
to proclaim liberty to the captive." Luke 4:18

THE MEN OF ST. MARTIN DE PORRES

Purpose
They develop opportunities for the Men’s Ministries of our church and conduct spiritual
development activities.

“Just as a human body, though it is made of many parts, is a single unit because all these
parts, though many, make one body, so it is with CHRIST’s body, the church.
I Corinthians 12: 12

THE WOMEN OF ST. MARTIN DE PORRES

Purpose
They develop opportunities for the Women’s Ministries of our church and conduct spiritual
development activities.

OUTREACH COMMITTEE

Purpose
It’s a ministry of compassion and advocacy. They reach out to the needs of the church and
community.

“Go out to the whole world; proclaim the GOOD NEWS to all creation.” Mark 16:16.

HOMELESS MINISTRY

Purpose
They actively participate in fulfilling the mission of feeding and providing essential necessities
for our homeless brothers and sisters.

“Who executeth judgment for the oppressed; who giveth food to the hungry…” Psalm 146: 7

THE LITURGICAL DANCE MINISTRY

Purpose
They praise and worship God through dance. They praise dance for special services and church
events.

Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
Psalm 150:4

FELLOWSHIP MINISTRY

Purpose
This group is responsible for all major Fellowship events within our Church family.
They are to encourage participation by every member to be a member of God’s
family.

“Everyday they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke
bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.” Acts 2:46
